Becoming a Peer Support

A Peer Support is someone who shares knowledge, experience and provides practical support to a coworker. Peer supports help to create psychological safety in the workplace which means each individual feels accepted, supported, and respected without fear of negative consequences.

A Peer Support is someone who can provide coaching and compassionate communication to build a culture and work environment where it is safe to speak up, share ideas and reduce stigma.

Peer Supports can help guide coworkers to available resources but are not counsellors.
